Simple Easy Cooking - Mushroom

Shopping in the mall the other day, led me to gone crazy over this unique mushroom, the Eryngii Mushroom - very popular mushroom in European countries and Asia.

All you need:

A bag of this king-sized eryngii mushroom, sliced
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoonful oyster sauce
black pepper

Methods:
Fry the garlic until fragrance, then put in all the eryngii mushrooms, a tablespoonful of oyster sauce, stir well.
Then add black pepper and stir again.

It's easy and tasty! Try it out! U surely love it. ;)

Korean Dish - Bibimbap

My daughter took us to Korea for holidays, it was a wonderful trip and my family enjoyed the Korean foods and the places of interest every moment of it. A trip to Korea also led us all fell in love with this popular Korean dish - called BIBIMBAP. It's a colorful dish. You must try it to believe what i mean by delicious. Don't miss it! ^P^

Bibimbap - is a traditional Korean dish with mixed meals, which is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with vegetables, bean sprouts, mushrooms, chilli pepper, sliced beef/chicken of your preference and topped with fried egg.

I have it tried out homemade, not too bad, no though not that authentic, but at least look alike and taste good. All you need is a few simple steps to get it done.

Korean Traditional Dish

HOMEMADE 'BIBIMBAP'

Bibimap
Ingredients:
Bunch of spinach
Bunch of bean sprouts
2 small zucchinis
7-8 shitake mushrooms
200g minced beef/meat/chicken
1 carrot
1 egg
2-3 tablespoon soy sauce
minced garlic
sesame seeds
sesame oil and olive or vegetable oil
1 bowl of cooked rice

Methods:
  1. Have a large platter ready, a bowl of cooked rice in the middle.
  2. Boil bean sprouts, drain well, toss with a pinch of salt, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil
  3. Boil spinach, drain well, toss with a pinch of salt, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil
  4. Place the bean sprouts and spinach in the platter.
  5. Cut the zucchinis into long thin strips and also toss with a pinch of salt. Saute over high heat and put aside.
  6. Mushrooms, saute with one teaspoon of oil, then add some soy sauce and a little sugar and sesame oil. Then display them in the platter too.
  7. Carrot cut into strips and saute for 30 seconds. Put in the platter.
  8. Saute the minced beef/mean/chicken meat with some oil. Add garlic and 1 tablespoon of soya sauce, a teaspoon of sugar, a dash of black pepper and sesame oil. Remove from heat and place on the platter too.
  9. Egg - sunny side up.
  10. Finish with the cooked vegetables with the meat, and the egg on top in the middle.
  11. Sprinkle of sesame seeds and sesame oil.

Soup - Pumpkin Soup

Pumpkin is good for health and loved by many. Pumpkin is a vegetable with rich vital anti-oxidants and low in calories, have a good source of vitamins such as vitamin A, zanxathins and carotenes.  It’s one of the popular vegetables in the market, its natural golden color flesh is sweet and creamy. 
Sources of protein, minerals and omega-3 fatty acids can be found in pumpkin seeds which are also good for heart health.
There are many delicacies you can make out from pumpkin - pumpkin soup, fried pumpkin dish, pumpkin porridge, pumpkin steamed cakes, etc.

Thick Pumpkin Soup




Ingredients:
1/2 pumpkin
2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoon flour
1 small cube of butter
1 teaspoon chicken stock


Methods:

  1. Skinned the pumpkin, cut into pieces.
  2. Fried the garlic with pumpkin, add a little bit of water and cook till pumpkin soft.
  3. Use the juice blender - first pour a cup of water, add 2 tablespoonful of flour, and blend it.
  4. Then put the cooked pumpkin into the blender and grind till fine.
  5. Pour the well mixed pumpkin paste back the saucepan and cook it under slow fire.
  6. Add chicken stock and butter.

Serve hot. Goes well with toasted bread.
